ABOUT DR. EMILY
Traveling Tails Mobile Vet Clinic has been a lifelong dream of Dr. Emily’s and she is elated to bring this to reality for her patients and their families.
Dr. Emily has loved animals for as long as she can remember. Raised in Batavia as the middle child and only daughter in her family, she grew up in a home filled with dogs, including many foster pets. Those early experiences shaped her compassion and dedication that have continued to guide her work today. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and began pursuing that path by working part time at a local veterinary clinic while staying involved in sports and community activities.
She earned her Biology degree from Beloit College before going on to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, Dr. Emily led a program that provided veterinary care to low income families in Minneapolis, deepening her commitment to supporting both pets and the people who love them.
Throughout her career in small animal practice, Dr. Emily has felt especially called to end of life care, helping families through one of the most difficult parts of pet ownership with compassion, dignity, and empathy. Providing peaceful, in home care where pets feel safe, comfortable, and surrounded by love became a driving force behind the creation of Traveling Tails.
Outside of work, Dr. Emily enjoys hiking, concert going, gardening and participating in local women’s sports leagues. She shares her life with her partner and two animal loving girls. Who share the house with all their dogs, (Cooper, Red, Gale and Pretzel), their beloved disabled orange cat (Rooster), an adorable bunny (potato) and all their 16 chickens!
